Customer Experience Improvement Program

Welcome to the 360 Central User Experience Improvement Program! In order to improve user experience of 360 Central (the “Software”), 360 will conduct statistical analysis on how users interact with the Software and each of its functions. Through such analysis, we are able to continuously improve user experience and the performance of the Software, as well as to enhance functionality and introduce innovative product features that benefit the users. Our statistical analysis only focuses on the content specific to the Software, and will not collect users' personal data.

We collect statistical data for the following reasons (and in the following ways):

Statistics Analysis on the Functions of the Software

In order to better respond to the needs of our users, we strive to increase and improve the functions of the Software. Collecting the data on the number of users currently using the Software (and its functions) helps us to decide which functions we should invest in and improve.

When you use a specific function of the Software, the name and unique identifier of this function will be reported to the 360 Security Center. The statistics data are gathered based on the number of visits to one specific web page of certain application on the server of 360, and such statistics data will be kept on a server of 360.

Improving the Quality of the Software

During the use of the Software, users may encounter certain abnormalities or bugs deviated from normal operation. Through analysis on these statistics data, 360 can improve the Software and fix such bugs or abnormalities.

Error Log

In the event that a program crashes or an unexpected error occurs during the use of the Software, the program will automatically generate an error log. The program and the error logs generated will be reported to the 360 Security Center, so that we can pinpoint the cause of the error or crash and improve product quality. As our rigorous test has been conducted before the Software released to the users, the possibility of error report is expected to be very low.

An automatic record will be loaded when a program crashes or an error occurs. This record includes the name of the associated program, as well as the information relating to the crash or the error. This information reported to the 360 Security Center only contains the data of the error message, and does not contain any of the user's personal data.

New Elements of the User Experience Improvement Program

We intend that the analysis on the statistic data and error log of the Software will enable us to improve the usability, stability, and utilities of the Software. Specifically, we intend to:

  1. Increase the usability of the Software to simplify and smooth users’ operation;
  2. Enhance the stability, compatibility, aesthetics, and functioning of the Software when used in different mobile devices;
  3. Improve the effectiveness of memory cleanup, and optimize default settings for the memory cleanup ignore list.
